Bodycare Plus (32)

How did you get into health and fitness?

I have always been interested in health and fitness. Exercise is my passion and being able to instil and maintain this enthusiasm in my clients is why I love what I do.

I trained at Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts as a dancer, while always maintaining a keen interest in Pilates and Sport. I spent six months training in a martial arts academy in Thailand, competing in Thai Kickboxing working towards winning the 55kg title belt.

Seven years ago, I trained as a Personal Trainer in Sydney, Australia, and since then have studied alongside orthopaedic surgeons, chiropractors and Sports and Injury Rehabilitation specialists to develop a more complete approach to health and fitness.

What services do we offer at Body Care Plus?

We offer Osteopathy, Dry Needling, Sports Massage, Private Personal Training,  Pilates, Sports Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention and Small Group Classes. We are really excited to offer Pilates as it is fantastic for developing a strong core, perfect posture and a stable, healthy spine. It is a really gentle approach to exercise, which aids with longevity and relaxation.

What sets you apart from other gyms?

Our aim is to deliver a superior product at a competitive price.

We are the only gym in Ipswich which offers totally private personal training with luxury facilities, catering to gym phobics and professional athletes alike.

We offer onsite gym rehabilitation facilities from our team of manual therapists. We are the antithesis of clock watching osteopaths, who rush you out the door in five minutes. We spend time with our clients to give them the best training, treatment and therapies they deserve to help them get back on track, whatever the goal. Our personal trainers work alongside a network of therapists to ensure you are in safe hands.

How do you motivate people?

Before you can motivate your client, you have to get to know them. You need to get to the heart of why they are here. Some people need to be yelled at; others require a more gentle approach. When you know your client, you can inspire them.

Top  Trainer Trends…

HIIT is still hot…

High Intensity Interval Training- Go hard, then go home!

It’s popular because it generally produces fast results and you can do it with virtually no equipment in a short space of time. HITT isn’t a fad and it is here to stay!

Curls for the girls…

Weight training for women is on the rise, with more gals participating in resistance training than ever before. Strength training will keep your skin young, boost cell repair and increase your metabolism. It also helps prevent human growth hormone levels from declining as you age and prevents against osteoporosis.

Grandma’s Chicken Soup…

There is an emerging trend which is attracting a hard core following- eating the way our grandparents did!

This means consuming real food, whole eggs, raw milk, local natural honey, home grown veggies and grass fed beef.

The less our food has been tampered with the better and this approach is vital for maintaining health and limiting your intake of nasty chemicals!

We always offer a complimentary taster session for you to give Personal Training a go! If this sounds like something you would like to try, get in touch to book a session and start your journey towards achieving your health and fitness goals!
